Carl P. Patsko, with over 39 years of experience in all phases of banking, is Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer, of Commercial Bank of California.

Up until April 2002, Mr. Patsko spent 7 years as the Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Tustin-based Sunwest Bank, where he was responsible for the total lending function of this $275 million commercial bank. His areas of responsibility included: credit policy formulation, business, real estate and SBA lending, portfolio maintenance, bank compliance and CRA and budgeting. He chaired the Officer Loan Committee and the Special Asset Loan Committee. Immediately prior to joining Sunwest Bank, Carl was the Executive Vice President and Senior Credit Officer for Overland Bank of Temecula, until First Pacific National Bank acquired the bank in 1995. Prior to joining Overland, he was Executive Vice President and Senior Credit Officer for San Diego First Bank, Senior Vice President and Senior Credit Officer for Escondido National Bank until it merged into First Pacific National Bank.

Mr. Patsko was with Home Fed Bank for 6 years, from 1986 to 1992, where he was Vice President and Credit Administrator for Corporate and Private Banking. He was responsible for credit policy formulation and administration, credit approval, marketing and production oversight, administered the Asset Based Lending Group and special assert supervision for the California Lending Group from San Diego to San Francisco and the National Account Division, which participated in direct loan syndicated transactions to Fortune 500 companies with Money Center banks throughout the United States. During his tenure the portfolio grew from $450 million to $1.5 billion.

Mr. Patsko began his banking career in 1973, at United California Bank, which became First Interstate Bank. He started on the Management Training program and served at offices in Palm Springs, Palm Desert, and Indio. He subsequently progressed to Assistant Manager in Escondido and El Cajon, California; Branch Manager in San Diego, California; and then Assistant Regional Credit Administrator for the San Diego, Riverside and Coachella Valley Region, in California, where he was involved in the regional management of commercial and SBA loan activity for a 45-branch region.

Mr. Patsko obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from California State University in San Diego, and he is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School, Commercial Class of 1983, from the University of Washington.
